Do you need to register the device first?

Yes. To register your device, connect the device to Bluetooth through your phone’s settings. Open the Rad Golf App, navigate to “Devices,” and under Sound+, select “Register and Connect Device.” Follow the prompts to register your speaker.

What features does the Sound have when connected with the Rad Golf app?

Once the device connects to the mobile app, you can Play Golf. You have to option to set the speaker to deliver range announcements, heckle your playing partners, and record your score.

What does “Unpair Device” do?

“Unpair Device” will disconnect the Bluetooth LE band between the speaker and the Rad Golf app. You won’t be able to use the speaker to Play Golf, but you’ll still be able to play music through your speaker.

How do I select switch between Metric and Imperial units?

Find your device and select the Device Menu. Go to “Settings” and select either YDS for yards, or MTR for meters.

How do I have the Sound announce distance?

What does the “Siri Voice” option do?

You can select the voice you’d like to announce your distances and use Text-to-Speech. You can select Alex, Fred, Samantha, Nicky, and Aaron.

What is the Tee box announcement?

When you auto-advance to the next hole, the speaker will call out the hole number, the strokes for par, and the distances to the front, center, and back of the green.

Can I assign callouts to different button functions?

To assign different callouts based on the Sound+’s button functions, go to the Device Menu and select “Settings.” In settings, navigate to Button Functions, and select your desired callout for each button function.

What happens if the Bluetooth connection fails?

Turn off your Sound+ speaker and turn off Bluetooth connectivity on your phone. Turn the speaker’s Bluetooth back on, and then turn on your phone’s Bluetooth. Try to reconnect again.

How do I use the “Find Device” feature?

If your speaker has already been registered to your Rad Golf account, go to “Settings” and then select “Locate.” The app will then display a pin showing your device’s last known location.
